A British National couple who was abducted in Lahore was rescued by PMLN President Zubair Gull
A case no. 18 365/A of kidnapping for ransom was registered on 11th Jan 2011 at Gulshan_e_Iqbal police station Lahore.
Upon the hearing of this news that a British national couple had been kidnapped Mr. Zubair Gull President PML (N) UK / Chairman advisory committee to the CM Punjab on overseas rushed to the Capital City Police Officer(CCPO Lahaore)Mr. Aslam Tareen.
He made special request to him to take up this matter personally and have him updated on urgent basis.
CCPO Lahore Aslam Tareen and SSP investigation Zulfiqar Hameed assigned this task to SP,CIA Mohammad Umar Virk who along with his brilliant team and namely DSP Anwar Saeed KIngrah conducted the laborious and tedious investigation and within four working days apprehended the kidnappers and produced the abducted couple unharmed.
Upon the initial investigation it was found that the kidnap for ransom was an intentional drama created by the husband along with his few accomplice friends to collect some money from his own family.
It is further revealed that both the abductees are drug addicts since long.
Police is carrying out further investigations and trying to find out further details of this crime.
Mr.Zubair Gull along with officials from the British High Commission in Islamabad thanked the CCPO Lahore and his team for their hard work, intelligent investigation and swift action to uncover the whole Kidnap for ransom drama.
